Welcome to Paradise Ridge!
Paradise Ridge in northwest Albuquerque is one of the most sought-after residential neighborhoods in the city. Developed between 2003 and 2007, it is part of the larger Paradise Hills community that is a comfortable blend of newer and longer established homes.
The borders of Paradise Ridge are Justin on the east, Paradise
Boulevard to the north, the Paradise Vista neighborhood and Petroglyph National Monument to the south; and to the west, a tract of undeveloped land separates the neighborhood from Unser Boulevard.
A perimeter wall with entrances on Paradise Boulevard surrounds the neighborhood. Homes have pitched Spanish-tiled roofs, muted earth-toned exterior walls and easy-care xeriscape gardens that flow from one to the other and into landscaped open spaces. The perimeter wall, the styles of the homes and fluid landscape all contribute to the typical southwestern look and coherent feel of the neighborhood.
Paradise Ridge is well served by strong community resources. Newer schools, churches, parks, health and other commercial facilities complement the longer established infrastructure of earlier developments. The Paradise Hills Civic Association the oldest neighborhood association on the Westside, if not of the entire city of Albuquerque is respected for its history of strong advocacy on behalf of the community. The Paradise Hills Community Center with swimming pool, adjacent park and tennis courts is a multi-age resource and gathering center. The current Desert Greens golf course once anchored, under a different name, the first Paradise Hills planned community. Under its new name, the golf course continues to offer recreation and serve as an attractive community oasis.
The unique location of Paradise Ridge allows quick accessibility
to parks, golfing, bike and walking trails, shopping and restaurants. The neighborhood is close to Cottonwood, one of New Mexico’s largest malls and is as easily accessible to Northeast and Downtown Albuquerque as it is to the city of Rio Rancho to the north.
Paradise Ridge is a great place to live and raise a family.
